BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

Full-Time Position

Hours: 6:30AM – 2:30 PM

Requirements : High School Diploma

2 Hour Asbestos Awareness Training

New Jersey Criminal Review Clearance

It shall be the responsibility of the person in this position to:

1. Open Midland Campus and Prepare for Use.
2. Maintain Midland Buildings, Grounds and Properties.
3. Maintain all Grounds Equipment.
4. Make Repairs/Installations that do not require a specialized technician as needed or assigned.
5. Skills as a Painter a plus.
6. Maintain Pool Sanitation and Operation (summer only).
7. Coordinate Snow and Ice removal (e.g. shoveling snow and operation of snow blowers).
8. Respond to assistance calls from Main Office.
9. Respond to off hours emergency calls on a rotating schedule.
10. Regularly Check Buildings, Properties and Facilities and Report Findings to Facilities Supervisor.
11. Serve as member of the Code Red Team.
12. Perform any other duties as assigned using safe work methods and following safety regulations relating to job.

SKILLS/ ABILTIIES

· Ability to follow directions;

· Ability to read, write and speak English;

· General knowledge of:

· Carpentry and repair;

· Plumbing to address leaks, clogs or other drainage issues;

· Grounds keeping;

· Ability to use hand and power tools;

· Excellent organizational and time management skills;

· Prolonged periods of standing and walking;

· Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces;

· Frequently must squat, stoop or kneel, reach above the head and reach forward;

· Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time;

· Wear proper protective equipment while performing job duties (e.g. goggles, ear plugs, back brace, knee pads, etc.);

· Regularly work indoors and outdoors;

EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or GED;

· CPO (Certified Pool & Spa) Certification;

· (2 hour) Asbestos Awareness Training;

· Auto Driver License (in good standing and subject to review);

· New Jersey Criminal Review Clearance.

Pay rate: $47,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience
