We are looking for an experienced, proactive and commercially-minded Branch Manager to lead our flagship Acton store. The Role As Branch Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day operation, people and commercial performance of the branch. You will lead a small team of 3–4 colleagues, creating a positive and high-performing environment where people are supported, challenged and empowered to achieve their goals. This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, solving problems and delivering results. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Manage, motivate, coach and develop a team of 3–4 staff. Organise rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels. Recruit, onboard and train new team members. Manage holidays and absence cover. Set objectives and support colleagues in achieving their individual and branch targets. Address performance and HR-related matters appropriately and professionally. Build a positive, approachable and accountable team culture. Sales & Business Growth Take ownership of branch occupancy, revenue and sales targets. Convert enquiries into sales through excellent customer engagement and needs-based selling. Identify opportunities to grow occupancy and revenue. Upsell and cross-sell relevant Magenta products and services. Proactively follow up enquiries and opportunities. Use CRM systems to manage the customer journey and sales pipeline. Monitor performance and use data to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop new local business opportunities and partnerships. Customer Experience Deliver a first-class customer experience at every stage of the customer journey. Build strong relationships with customers and understand their needs. Resolve complaints and customer issues effectively, taking ownership through to resolution. Look for opportunities to exceed customer expectations and improve retention. Health & Safety, Compliance & Operations Take full ownership of Health & Safety and compliance at the branch. Complete and oversee required checks, audits and documentation. Ensure company policies and procedures are followed. Identify risks and take proactive action to resolve issues. Ensure the branch operates safely, securely and efficiently. Branch Standards & Local Marketing Take full ownership of the appearance, cleanliness and presentation of the store, both internally and externally. Ensure the branch consistently meets Magenta's high standards. Build relationships with local businesses, organisations and community groups. Develop networking opportunities and local partnerships to generate new business. Represent Magenta professionally within the local community. About You We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who takes pride in everything they do and is motivated by achieving results. You will be: An experienced manager with proven leadership experience. Proactive and able to identify opportunities rather than waiting to be told what to do. Commercially minded and comfortable working towards targets. A confident coach who enjoys developing and empowering others. Customer-focused with excellent communication and complaint-resolution skills. Organised and able to manage multiple priorities. Approachable, compassionate and fair, while maintaining high standards and accountability. Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of decisions. A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively. Self-storage experience is desirable but not essential. We are interested in candidates with strong transferable management, sales, customer service and commercial skills who are willing to learn. Why Magenta?
