Candidate will perform general bookkeeping and accounting functions for various clients over diverse industries. Required experience will be a strong understanding of the accounting cycles and how they interact with each other. An understanding of posting revenues and expenses into proper general ledger account categories, processing and properly reporting payroll transactions and all of the related accruals, properly processing bills and running related checks for payment, making and posting deposits, reconciling monthly bank statements and maintaining an efficient work flow to timely complete work for client deadlines. Candidate will have a robust work load that will require strong time management skills. Candidate will need to understand several accounting systems. We currently utilize QuickBooks, NetSuite and MIP. A strong Candidate will be able to adapt quickly to an unknown system. A working knowledge of Excel and Word is a must. An additional skill set of income tax preparation basics would be an asset. We utilize Intuit Pro Series. Friendly and cordial people skills are necessary, as candidate will interact with clients regularly and sometimes independent of guidance. Our Firm is growing and we seek a Candidate willing to be part of a team-like environment. Our office looks over tree tops, not streets.
