Duties: Head estimator, managing production, parts ordering, working with insurance companies. 5+ years of estimating experience necessary. Also need experience in using CCC. Spanish speaking is a plus! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Body Shop Operations Manager to lead our collision repair facility with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality vehicle repairs, and foster a safety-first environment. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold industry standards, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Manage the overall workflow of the collision repair shop, coordinating repair schedules and resource allocation to maximize productivity. Supervise technicians and body shop staff, providing guidance on auto body repair techniques, use of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Oversee vehicle damage assessments using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software, ensuring accurate and timely estimates. Monitor quality control processes to guarantee repairs meet industry standards for auto body refinishing, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing. Facilitate defect resolution root cause analysis to identify underlying issues in repair processes and implement corrective actions. Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the repair process, providing updates and managing expectations professionally. Experience Proven experience managing a collision repair shop or auto body shop with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes. Extensive knowledge of auto body repair techniques including aluminum repairs, metal fabrication, automotive painting, and auto restoration. Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, vehicle maintenance, auto painting, auto glass installation, and detailing. Familiarity with collision damage estimation software and computer-aided design tools used in damage assessment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy lifting, use of power tools, PPE protocols, and collision shop safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team coordination; ability to explain technical issues clearly. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety guidelines; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
