We are looking for a reliable, skilled and customer-focused person to join us in a combined fitting, measuring and sales role. This is an important position within our business. You will represent Green Lane Blinds in customers’ homes and commercial premises, so we need someone who takes genuine pride in their work, communicates confidently and understands that every installation affects our reputation. The role Your responsibilities will include: Visiting residential and commercial customers to measure for made-to-measure blinds and shutters Advising customers on suitable products, styles and practical solutions Providing quotations and confidently helping customers make purchasing decisions Accurately recording measurements, specifications and order details Installing blinds and shutters safely, neatly and to a consistently high standard Checking finished installations and resolving minor issues professionally Protecting customers’ homes, cleaning the working area and removing packaging Communicating clearly with customers and the office team Completing job sheets, photographs and other required paperwork Encouraging satisfied customers to recommend us and leave Google reviews Looking after company tools, equipment and any vehicle provided Supporting the wider team when required About you We are looking for someone who is: Practical, accurate and confident using hand and power tools Reliable, punctual and well organised Clean, presentable and respectful in customers’ homes Friendly and confident when speaking with customers Comfortable discussing products, presenting prices and asking for the sale Able to work independently and manage a daily schedule Calm and professional when solving problems Physically capable of carrying, positioning and installing blinds and shutters Committed to quality rather than rushing through jobs Willing to learn and follow our systems and standards Previous experience measuring and fitting blinds or shutters would be a major advantage. However, we will also consider an experienced fitter, joiner, kitchen or window installer, maintenance professional or other skilled tradesperson with strong customer-service skills. This is not an entry-level labouring position. Applicants without direct blinds experience must be highly competent on the tools, comfortable working in finished homes and capable of learning technical measuring and product knowledge quickly.
