BIM Manager – Site

Position: BIM Manager – Site Company: General Construction Co. LLC, Dubai, UAE

Location: Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE Employment type: Full-time, site-based Reports to: Project Director, with a functional reporting line to the Company BIM Lead

Role summary Lead BIM implementation on site, bridging the design models and construction execution. You will be the main link between the project and the Head Office BIM team, working under the direction of the Company BIM Lead. You will apply company BIM standards and workflows on site, feed site requirements and lessons learned back to head office and manage the site BIM team and deliverables in line with the BIM Execution Plan and client/authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

Site BIM delivery

• Implement and enforce the BIM Execution Plan, MIDP and CDE procedures on site
• Run weekly coordination meetings, clash detection and issue tracking across Architecture, Structure, MEP and Façade
• Manage shop drawing production from the federated model and track approvals
• Support RFIs, change management and revision control through the model
• Provide quantity extraction (QTO) for site and commercial teams
• Verify as-built conditions against the model and prepare handover deliverables

Head Office and BIM Lead liaison

• Act as the project’s single point of contact with the Head Office BIM team and report directly to the Company BIM Lead on BIM matters
• Apply company BIM standards, templates, naming conventions, and QA procedures, and escalate deviations or required exceptions for approval
• Submit regular KPI and progress reports (monthly dashboard, model audit results, clash status) to the Company BIM Lead
• Coordinate with Head Office specialists for technical support and shared resources
• Share site feedback, lessons learned and improvement proposals to update company standards
• Take part in Head Office BIM meetings, gate reviews and performance reviews

Team management

• Supervise site BIM team and track their performance against agreed KPIs
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and the client’s BIM team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, Architectural Engineering
• [10+] years of experience, with at least [5] years in BIM management on construction sites
• Experience on high-rise or complex building projects in the UAE/GCC
• Strong command of Revit, Navisworks and a CDE platform (e.g., ACC/BIM 360, Aconex); knowledge of Dynamo and Power BI is a plus
• Working knowledge of ISO 19650, LOD/LOIN and Dubai Municipality BIM requirements
• Proven experience working within a centralized BIM structure (project team reporting to a head office BIM function)
• Strong leadership, communication, reporting and problem-solving skills
