Billing Engineer - Joinery & Fit-Out (Visa + Accommodation Provided)

HMD is a joinery and fit-out contractor in Dubai. We build and install kitchens, wardrobes, bespoke carpentry and full interior fit-outs for villas and apartments across the city.

We are looking for a billing engineer to own the measurement and billing side of our projects.

What the job actually is

You take off quantities from our drawings, price them against our rate book, prepare the BOQ, and build the quotation that goes to the client. Once a job runs you measure what was actually done, prepare the interim bill, and chase it through to certification and payment.

You will work directly with the managing director and the project engineer. On a normal week you will handle two to four live quotations plus the billing on whatever is running on site.

Day to day

Quantity takeoff from architectural and joinery shop drawings.

Preparing BOQs and priced quotations on our template.

Measuring executed work and preparing interim and final bills.

Tracking variations and getting them approved before they are built.

Reconciling what was quoted against what was spent on each job.

Keeping the rate book current as supplier prices move.

What we need

Two years or more preparing BOQs or bills in contracting, fit-out or joinery.

You can read a shop drawing and produce a quantity we can price.

Confident in Excel. AutoCAD or PlanSwift is a strong plus.

Diploma or degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying or similar.

Already in the UAE, or willing to relocate. We sponsor the visa.

Helpful but not essential

Joinery or interior fit-out specifically, rather than civil.

Basic bookkeeping, since this role touches invoicing.

UAE driving licence.

What we offer

AED 4,000 to 6,000 per month. Where you land in that band depends on what you can show us on a drawing.

Free shared accommodation and transport to site, on top of the salary.

Employment visa and health insurance provided.

You will own the commercial side of real projects rather than being one of six people in a department.
