The team directly impacts on what our 30+ million active customers see during their visit at our Fashion Store (e.g.: www.zalando.fi). Their aim is to provide the most relevant, engaging user experience for each customer. We do this by combining Machine Learning driven personalization and business driven systems driving content selection decisions. As we are responsible for choosing the content our customers engage with, even one line of code can have a huge impact for our millions of customers. As a Backend Engineer in this team, you will be working on high-quality cutting edge Tier 1 key services. You will drive discovery, design and development for our new initiatives and collaborate with our stakeholders and downstreams. You have the option to contribute to our frontend components. In this role you are supported by an experienced and engaged team of 6 engineers, which is one of the most active and respected communities at Zalando Helsinki. We not only run critical systems with ruthless efficiency, but also actively meet during free time to go hiking, play frisbee golf, go climbing, play games or do other activities together.
