Responsibilities Build and optimize complex data models using dimensional data modeling within Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS). Develop efficient DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query (M) transformations . Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards . Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions. Optimize Power BI report performance and implement Row-Level Security (RLS) . Required Skills & Experience 8–10 years of experience in Power BI development, data analytics, and data modeling. Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data models . Strong expertise in designing semantic models for enterprise reporting and analytics, including: Dimensional modeling. Star Schema and Snowflake Schema. Delta Lake and Parquet formats. Experience developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines . Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, SQL, and relational databases , preferably Oracle. Hands-on experience with Third Normal Form (3NF) and Data Vault 2.0 data modeling. Advanced knowledge of Spark SQL , including: Complex joins, aggregations, and data transformations. Window functions, ranking functions, and analytical queries. Practical experience implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) Type 1 and Type 2 . Strong expertise in: Power BI Desktop. Power BI Service. DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Power Query (M). Proficiency in PySpark development , including: Data ingestion, transformation, and workflow orchestration. Ability to write and understand PySpark functions. Understanding of Spark architecture, including executors, partitions, and caching. Experience with Power BI report optimization and Row-Level Security (RLS) . Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Nice to Have Experience with performance tuning and optimization . Expert-level understanding of PySpark and Spark architecture . Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize Spark SQL queries and workloads . Pay: $50.00-$75.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brampton, ON L6Y 2Y2
