Azure Cloud / DevOps Engineer

Locations: Brussel, Gent, Antwerpen

We are looking for someone who ...

• Wants to help build secure, scalable Azure environments for a variety of clients
• Enjoys setting up infrastructure as code, using reusable modules in Bicep and/or Terraform
• Builds and improves CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins)
• Deploys and supports containerized workloads on Azure Container Apps and/or AKS
• Is familiar with Azure networking: VNets, peering, NSGs, private endpoints, Private DNS, and Azure Firewall
• Applies security best practices, including Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Azure Policy, and Defender for Cloud
• Sets up monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Actively seeks out improvements in terms of performance, reliability, and cost
• Enjoys getting to the root cause of issues within infrastructure, networks, and applications
• Has at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments
• Has experience with Linux and Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD, or CKS certifications are a plus)

Is proficient with Git and scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering , or a related field, or possess equivalent experience. You are fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and English .

• You collaborate within client teams and are a familiar face to your colleagues there
• You communicate clearly about your progress, roadblocks, and decisions - including to non-technical stakeholders
• You take ownership of your deliverables and raise issues in a timely manner
• You document what you build and enjoy sharing what you learn
• You work in a hybrid setup, spending approximately 3 days on-site
• Experience with API Management, Key Vault, App Services, or Azure Functions is a plus
• Azure certifications (such as AZ-104 or AZ-305) are a nice bonus, though practical experience carries more weight
• You earn extra points if you have development experience or experience with data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Databricks)
