Overview We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions that power our cutting-edge payment platforms. Your expertise will drive the development of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments that support our mission to deliver exceptional financial services. Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure. - Design and operate highly available, fault-tolerant, multi-AZ production environments with clearly defined RTO/RPO objectives. - Manage AWS WAF, Application/Network Load Balancers, Auto Scaling Groups, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudTrail, and AWS Config . - Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Amazon Aurora, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, ECS/EKS, and CloudFormation . - Implement and manage centralized logging, monitoring, and observability using Datadog , including logs, metrics, dashboards, alerts, APM, and infrastructure monitoring. - Implement and maintain Cron Job monitoring using Healthchecks.io, including heartbeat monitoring, missed-job detection, execution failures, and alerting. - Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , particularly Terraform or CloudFormation. - Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline . - Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, network security, and access controls. - Experience implementing logging practices appropriate for PCI DSS/SOC 2 environments . - Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability and troubleshoot production issues. - Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies. - Optimize AWS infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency . - Automate operational processes using scripting and configuration-management tools. - Collaborate with software developers and DevOps teams to improve deployment and operational processes. - Maintain technical documentation and contribute to cloud architecture standards. Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on AWS/cloud engineering experience. - Strong knowledge of core AWS services and cloud architecture. - Strong experience with VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53, and load balancing . - Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or another Infrastructure-as-Code framework . - Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. - Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. - Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell . - Strong understanding of networking, DNS, TCP/IP, security groups, and load balancing. - Experience with Git and modern software-development workflows. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications - AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator certification. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS . - Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda. - Experience with observability and monitoring platforms. - Knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks. - Experience designing highly available and disaster-resistant AWS environments. - Experience with AWS cost optimization and FinOps practices.
