# AVP Accounting and Finance / Controller **Shera Building Solution Philippines, Corp.** · Quezon City · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role JOB PURPOSE Key accountability of the role covers 3 areas which are (i) Accounting, Manufacturing Cost & Financial Reporting, (ii) Tax Compliance & Risk Management and (iii) Financial Planning, Treasury & Business Performance, as specified below. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee accounting operations, financial closing, statutory reporting, and external audits in compliance with PFRS/IFRS and HQ requirements. - Manage product costing, production variances, inventory valuation, and import-related costs to ensure cost accuracy and efficiency. - Ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations, manage BIR tax audits and assessments, and minimize tax exposure and penalties. - Lead budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, cash flow, banking, and working capital management. - Lead the Finance and Accounting team, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial insights and support to local management and SHERA HQ. Accounting, Manufacturing Cost & Financial Reporting: - Ensure accurate and timely financial closing, management reporting, and statutory financial statements in compliance with company’s accounting policies and related accounting principles (PFRS/IFRS). - Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, production variances, and factory overhead. - Ensure accurate landed costs, customs duties, freight expenses, and import VAT. - Oversee accounting operations, balance sheet reconciliations, and external audits. Tax Compliance & Risk Management: - Ensure full compliance with BIR requirements, including CIT, VAT, WHT, and other applicable taxes. - Manage tax audits, tax reconciliations, and corrective actions to minimize tax exposure and penalties. - Oversee BOI compliance and reporting, where applicable. Financial Planning & Business Performance: - Ensure timely completion of the accounting closing process in accordance with HQ’s reporting schedule. - Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and profitability improvement. - Monitor business performance, margins, operating costs, working capital, and CAPEX spending. - Provide financial insights and recommendations to local management and SHERA HQ. Treasury & Working Capital: - Manage cash flow, banking, foreign exchange exposure, AR/AP, and credit control. - Utilize hedging instruments to mitigate foreign exchange and interest rate risks associated with the company’s cash flows and borrowings. - Optimize cash flow, collections, and inventory turnover. - Maintain strong communications with banks and other financial service providers Leadership & HQ Coordination: - Lead and develop the Finance and Accounting team. - Ensure effective coordination with local management, SHERA HQ, auditors, and external advisors. Others: - Provide guidance and support to the team on SAP-related processes and issues. REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in a senior management role. - At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, importation, or distribution businesses. - Experience in dealing with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), including tax audits and assessments is required - At least 3 years of experience with SAP/ERP systems. - Experience working in an audit firm or having an auditing background will be an advantage. - Experience working in multinational companies and coordinating with regional headquarters will be an advantage. Skills, Abilities and Work Style: - Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, coach, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team. - Strong understanding of financial management, manufacturing costs, profitability, and business operations. - Strong analytical thinking with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to identifying and resolving issues. - Solid knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, Philippine taxation, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and consistently meet deadlines. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, and regional HQ. - Demonstrates a hands-on approach, providing guidance and support to the team in resolving operational issues. - Willing to report onsite regularly in the Quezon City Head Office. - Willing to visit the Manufacturing Plant located in Mabalacat City, Pampanga from time to time. Pay: Php140,000.00 - Php200,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
