Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for functional, integration, and regression testing. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality validation. Architect and implement automation solutions using industry-standard tools such as Selenium and Playwright. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to ensure comprehensive test coverage across distributed systems and microservice architectures. Validate backend APIs across REST, GraphQL, and gRPC, including integrations with message brokers such as Kafka. Analyze system designs, application data flows, microservices, and monolithic components to develop effective test automation strategies. Contribute to shift-left testing by enabling early defect detection and promoting testability throughout the development lifecycle. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and provide testing insights that improve software quality and delivery. Mentor and coach team members on quality engineering and test automation best practices. Collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve the team's overall quality engineering practices and standards. Ideal Candidate: Strong hands-on experience in test automation and quality engineering. Proven ability to design and build automation frameworks from scratch. Strong experience developing and maintaining automated test suites. Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright. Proficiency in at least one major programming language: Java, GoLang or JavaScript/TypeScript Proven experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Experience validating APIs using REST, GraphQL, and/or gRPC. Hands-on experience with messaging systems such as Kafka. Strong understanding of microservices and monolithic architectures and application data flows. Experience working in Agile software delivery environments. Strong understanding and application of shift-left testing principles. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, architects, and other technical stakeholders. Experience in mentoring, coaching, or supporting other QA/automation engineers is highly preferred.
