The Role We are seeking an Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to spearhead our industrial automation, rail, and digital manufacturing initiatives. Blending engineering expertise, solution architecture, and team leadership, you will drive operational excellence and digital transformation projects leveraging IIoT, MES, PLC, HMI, SCADA, OPC UA/DA, and DCS technologies. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Act as the Technical Lead for the Automation Engineering team, steering project execution and management. Architecture & Standards: Define technical architectures and establish automation standards across various projects. Quality Assurance: Review engineering designs, control strategies, and software development activities to ensure optimal performance. Mentorship: Mentor, coach, and elevate the technical capabilities of automation engineers and developers. Problem Solving: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex automation, control system, and production issues. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field. Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, control systems, digital manufacturing, or rail environments. Domain & Tech Expertise: Deep knowledge of IIoT, MES, PLC, HMI, SCADA, OPC UA/DA, and DCS. Strong background working within manufacturing or rail domains. Leadership: Proven track record of leading automation/rail projects and managing engineering teams. Language: Strong English proficiency (both verbal and written communication).
