The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated Auditor to join our team at Stannards. In this role, you will work closely with experienced professionals across a diverse client base, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and audit engagements. Key Responsibilities Assist with audit engagement planning and preparation. Testing of internal controls via documentation of the control environment and identification of risks thereon. Co-ordinate and undertake substantive tests of details by consistently applying designated methodologies, processes, standards and technology tools From procedures performed, cross reference issues identified, outstanding matters to appropriate sections of the file and communicate effectively with client. Assist in guiding and reviewing the work of junior staff where appropriate Obtaining and analysing the financial position of companies and their capacity to continue as solvent entities. Demonstrating an understanding of your role and its impact on audit budgets. Reporting to management and / or directly to Director. Assistance with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with requirements. About You You have commenced your career in audit, you are working towards your CA/CPA and you are looking to take your career to the next level. You have gained experience in external audit engagements and are confident working across multiple sections with guidance. You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. You take pride in producing accurate work, have strong analytical skills, and are keen to further develop your technical expertise in audit within a supportive and professional team. Essential Skills and Experience: 1–3 years’ relevant professional experience in accounting, audit, corporate finance, valuations or a related field. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/related business disciplines. Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation. Strong attention to detail combined with a commercial, problem-solving mindset. Why Join Stannards?
