Sony Electronics Inc.'s Professional Solutions Americas group has an exciting entry-level position in the Media Solutions group. The Associate Data Analyst will be the primary point of producing and analyzing various data related to our end-to-end sales and marketing business operations.

Responsibilities

This position will entail collecting relevant information from internal and external sources to help maintain databases, support general analytics, and provide routine business reports.

The position involves broadly analyzing and interpreting collected data to support ongoing initiatives, as well as identifying general process improvement opportunities.

To compile and manage this information, the role requires advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables, as well as administrative Power BI skills, including building data and dashboards, maintaining workspaces and troubleshooting. The Associate Data Analyst will also create foundational visualizations—including standard dashboards, flowcharts, and graphs—to relay data in a meaningful way and help influence key marketing decisions.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required or equivalent – preferably with a concentration in business data analytics.
• Demonstrated analytical and strategy development background
• Experience with Marketing Analytics
• Experience connecting Business Intelligence (BI) such as MS Power BI, Data Analytics like SQL, to data from different sources, importing and transforming the data to actionable Business Intelligence reports.
• Experience in the creation of visualization dashboards
• Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, formulas and macros; as well as Access for querying, creation of tables and formulas. Solid understanding of MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
• Strong project management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Solid oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

• 1 year of related experience in an marketing analytics position reporting into a marketing or sales group
• Experience with SAP / FICO (Especially PBP and PRP modules) a very strong plus.
• Usage of data visualization language i.e. Tableau, Looker, etc. it’s a requirement above

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ 76,375.00 to $101,834.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.​
