Position and Team Overview L.E.K.’s Asia consulting teams advise some of the most prominent organizations across the region, including major multinationals, growth companies and private equity investors. Our teams bring extensive experience across a range of sectors, including Healthcare and Life Sciences, Education, Financial Services, and private equity, helping clients address their most important strategic and commercial challenges This role is expected to collaborate and effectively work on consulting projects across L.E.K.’s Asia offices, supporting project teams on key deliverables. Overview of Role The Associate Consultant is responsible for a broad work stream and will develop the hypothesis, structure the approach and lead junior team members. This role also requires the Associate Consultant to start building leadership skills and take on increasing responsibilities. Associate Consultants continue to play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing and synthesizing research and data to address the client’s core issues. Specific Responsibilities Designing primary and secondary research campaigns on markets, competitors, and customers through a variety of methods including surveys and one-on-one interviews Collaborating with project team members to derive trends, conclusions, and recommendations based upon the analysis. An Associate Consultant must transform what they have learned into thoughtful insights regarding the client's strategic direction Drafting the overall answer for a specific module by developing story lines and structuring the blank slides using a hypothesis-led approach Developing rigorous strategic and financial analysis that will be utilised to determine L.E.K.'s recommendation to the client. Examples include developing a spreadsheet model of market growth and competitor share, developing a valuation model for a company or product using discounted cash flow analysis, testing customer sensitivity to product attributes using adaptive conjoint analysis, or determining probability distributions of acquisition value Providing robust technical and commercial quality control to ensure logic and accuracy for modules under their command Leads capture of internal L.E.K. IP, managing junior associates in the creation of relevant materials Facilitates meetings and workshops one-on-one or with small groups of client staff Managing and guiding junior associates work outputs (applicable for AC & SAC roles), coaching and transferring skills, offering constructive advice, and positively contributing to the workplace environment Candidate Requirements 2-3 years' working experience in consulting Experience in healthcare-related strategy projects - including work in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, life science enablers, or healthcare services-is highly desirable Bachelor’s degree required, an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable Strategic thinker with strong analytical and execution capabilities Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity for new knowledge Proven financial modelling proficiency, with hands-on experience in developing project finance, operating, and valuation models Experience working effectively in multicultural environments, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultural contexts High sense of ownership, responsibility, and adaptability, with a strong focus on delivering results Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Integrity, professionalism, and a strong team-oriented mindset Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring and guiding junior team members Fluency or near-native proficiency in English and Vietnamese is essential Additional language in Bahasa (Melayu or Indonesa), Thai, or Tagalog will be an added advantage /*generated inline style */ /*generated inline style */
