Job Responsibilities and Duties Associate Attorney to work closely with team to meet and exceed client needs. Regular activities include: - Listen to and advise prospective and current clients in consultations, meetings, emails and conversations - Advocate for clients in writing, through negotiation and at hearings - Timely and professional communication with clients - Draft documents and correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, and the Court - Draft discovery requests, pleadings and notices - E-file documents with the Court - Prepare for and advocate at Court hearings - Trial preparation - Contribute during weekly staff meetings - Participate in routine file review meetings weekly - Other tasks as needed Character Qualifications and Skills Ideal Candidate will possess the following attributes and skills: - Strong work ethic - Thrives in busy, productive environment - Team player - Enjoys high level of structure and organization - Accomplishes tasks each day with high commitment to excellence - Pays close attention to detail - Punctual - Strong word processing skills including formatting and typing documents - Able to follow written instructions with little oversight - Highly motivated to accomplish tasks - Compassionate and able to show empathy to clients - Note-taker - Direct but tactful communicator - Extremely proficient with MS Word - Familiar with macOS - Trustworthy - Interested in Family and Juvenile Law, Probate Law, Estate Planning Law Professional Qualifications - 2 years of experience as a Family Law attorney (preferred) - 1 year of experience as a Probate Law attorney (preferred) - Bilingual/fluent in Spanish a plus, but not required Job Type: Full-time salaried Salary : $80,000.00 per year with opportunity for performance bonuses Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Paid Time Off / Sick Time: PTO and Sick Time in accordance with office policy and Paid holidays when office is closed; Paid time off during annual Christmas office shutdown Firm Website : www.RolandHairston.com Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 per year Benefits: - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Life insurance - Paid time off - Retirement plan - Vision insurance License/Certification: - Tennessee Bar License (Required) Work Location: In person
