This person is the PM’s eyes and ears in the field - visiting job sites, documenting progress, and handling the coordination and follow-up that keeps projects moving. It is a developmental position built for someone young, ambitious, and technically curious who wants to learn the PM role from the ground up and grow into managing their own portfolio within roughly 12–18 months. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Serve as the PM’s eyes and ears in the field — conduct site visits across the PM’s active projects to observe progress, quality, and site conditions, and report back clearly. - Document everything — capture daily logs, progress photos, and written field notes in Buildertrend so every project has an accurate, current record. - Track subcontractor attendance and progress against the schedule; flag no-shows, delays, and slipping milestones to the PM immediately. - Help coordinate subcontractor trades, material deliveries, and inspection scheduling under the PM’s direction. - Confirm client-selected materials and finishes have arrived on site and match the project scope. - Prepare job sites for inspections — verify access, cleanliness, and that required work is complete and ready. - Follow up on punch-list and correction items, and confirm completion back to the PM. - Run materials, documents, and equipment between job sites, suppliers, and the office as needed. - Communicate professionally with homeowners on routine field matters; escalate anything sensitive or contractual to the PM. - Learn IMKAT’s construction process, sequencing, and standards — take on increasing responsibility as skills develop. Experience - 2 years in construction, the trades, or a related field role - internships, labor, or trade experience all count. - Exposure to residential construction job sites preferred, but a strong learner with the right drive will be considered. Technical Aptitude - Comfortable using a smartphone and software for documentation, photos, and communication; quick to pick up new tools like Buildertrend.
