Role Overview As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of large-scale underground utility infrastructure projects as part of the Underground Cable Modernization Program. Working closely with project managers, engineering teams, utility stakeholders, contractors, and leadership, you will help coordinate schedules, budgets, outage activities, reporting, and project controls to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys managing multiple priorities, communicating with diverse stakeholders, and contributing to critical infrastructure projects that enhance electric system reliability and resiliency. How You Will Make an Impact Support Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of Underground Cable Modernization Program initiatives. Assist with project schedule development, maintenance, tracking, and reporting to ensure timely completion of project milestones. Monitor project budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and financial performance while supporting cost tracking and reporting activities. Coordinate outage schedules and work closely with utility operations, engineering, construction, and field personnel to support project execution. Prepare executive-level presentations, project summaries, status updates, and performance reports for internal and client leadership teams. Assist with contract administration activities, including tracking deliverables, reviewing documentation, managing approvals, and supporting compliance requirements. Maintain project documentation, action items, meeting minutes, risk logs, and project records to ensure accurate project controls and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, and utility stakeholders to identify and resolve project issues while maintaining strong client relationships. What You Will Bring Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred. 2-5 years of experience supporting project management, project coordination, utility operations, engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects. Experience developing executive-level communications, presentations, reports, and stakeholder correspondence. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and project controls activities preferred. Knowledge of utility, transmission, distribution, underground cable, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment. Work Environment & Preferences Work Model: Hybrid Primary Office Location: Westwood, Massachusetts Preferred Schedule: Full-time Travel Requirements: Occasional local travel for meetings, project coordination activities, and site visits as required. Physical Requirements: Primarily office-based work involving extended periods of computer use.
