Assistant Production Manager

Job Overview

The Production Manager coordinates manufacturing operations, production planning, and assembly to support safe, consistent, quality-focused output. This role connects plant activities with supply chain needs, using production management systems and cross-functional communication to keep work aligned.

Responsibilities

• Lead production scheduling and planning, coordinating people, materials, and priorities across manufacturing teams.
• Monitor quality control, production performance, and supply chain analytics; use Excel data analysis and ERP systems such as SAP and MRP tools to inform decisions.
• Guide team leadership and continuous improvement, applying process improvement, Lean manufacturing, Lean management, and Six Sigma approaches where appropriate.
• Partner across operations, plant management, and supply chain management to resolve issues and improve production management systems. Your impact: clear coordination helps colleagues maintain reliable production flow.

Experience

Required: Practical production management, manufacturing management, production scheduling, and team leadership capabilities, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and production or ERP systems. Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with assembly support effective coordination of manufacturing work. Preferred: Experience with SAP, MRP, supply chain management, quality control, Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement, plus strengths in cross-functional communication and operations management.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
