The ideal candidate will ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role is crucial in leading a team, managing workflow, and ensuring compliance with food industry regulations. Must be happy to work in a chilled environment due to the nature of the products. Responsibilities - Supervise daily operations on the production line to ensure efficiency and adherence to safety protocols. - Train and mentor team members on best practices in food production and safety standards. - Monitor production processes, making adjustments as necessary to optimise output while maintaining quality. - Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations. - Collaborate with management to implement improvements in production processes and workflows. - Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any issues encountered during the process. - Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues that may arise during production, utilising basic mechanical knowledge. Skills - Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety regulations. - Experience in food production environments, demonstrating a commitment to quality and safety. - Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. - Proficient in basic mathematics for accurate record keeping and data analysis. - Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear instructions and feedback within the team.
