Job Vacancy: E-Commerce Assistant Manager – 3PL Warehouse

Department: Warehouse Operations / E-Commerce Fulfilment Location: UAE Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a high-volume, multi-client 3PL e-commerce fulfilment warehouse.

The role is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate inbound receiving, inventory management, order processing, picking, packing, dispatch and returns operations while maintaining client service levels, operational productivity and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate must possess strong warehouse leadership, manpower management and hands-on experience in e-commerce fulfilment operations.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & E-Commerce Operations

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, sorting, staging, dispatch and returns.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment in accordance with client requirements and agreed SLAs.
• Monitor daily order volumes, operational priorities and fulfilment backlogs.
• Ensure smooth coordination between inbound, inventory, fulfilment, dispatch and returns teams.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

3PL Client & Order Fulfilment Management

• Manage fulfilment operations for multiple 3PL clients with different operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with client-specific SOPs, service standards and order cut-off times.
• Monitor picking and packing accuracy, order processing and dispatch timelines.
• Coordinate with client account teams to resolve order discrepancies, service issues and operational escalations.
• Support new client onboarding and operational process implementation.

Inventory & Warehouse Systems

• Ensure inventory accuracy, proper stock segregation and location management.
• Monitor stock movements, cycle counts, discrepancies and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure accurate transactions in WMS, OMS and ERP systems.
• Coordinate with IT teams to resolve system-related operational issues.

Dispatch & Reverse Logistics

• Oversee order sorting, staging and dispatch to courier and last-mile delivery partners.
• Ensure shipments are accurately labelled, documented and handed over within agreed cut-off times.
• Monitor returns, return-to-origin (RTO), product inspection and restocking processes.
• Resolve dispatch discrepancies and returns-related operational issues.

Manpower & Productivity Management

• Plan and allocate manpower according to order volumes and operational requirements.
• Supervise warehouse supervisors, team leaders and warehouse associates.
• Monitor attendance, overtime, productivity and workforce utilization.
• Conduct shift briefings, monitor performance and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Support manpower planning during promotional campaigns and peak seasons.

Operational Efficiency, Safety & Reporting

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, accuracy and cost effectiveness.
• Monitor warehouse equipment, packing materials and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety, security and housekeeping standards.
• Prepare daily and weekly operational reports.
• Coordinate with Operations, Inventory, Customer Service, Transport, IT and Maintenance teams.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Lean or Six Sigma are an advantage.
• Good knowledge of warehouse management systems and e-commerce fulfilment processes.

Experience Required

• 5–7 years of warehouse operations experience , in e-commerce fulfilment or 3PL logistics.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role.
• UAE warehouse or logistics operations experience is required.
• Experience in high-volume B2B e-commerce fulfilment and multi-client 3PL operations is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience in picking, packing, inventory management, dispatch and reverse logistics.
• Experience coordinating with courier companies and last-mile delivery partners.
• Working knowledge of WMS, OMS, ERP and barcode scanning systems.
• Experience with UAE based e-commerce platforms is an advantage.
• Experience managing multicultural warehouse teams and peak-season operations.

• Hands-on approach with strong warehouse floor-management capabilities.
