Help run weddings at one of the Texas Hill Country's most beloved venues. At The Chapel at Gruene and our sister property The Chapel at Wimberley, we help couples celebrate the most important day of their lives in a beautiful Hill Country setting. Our small, close-knit team takes real pride in every detail — and on a wedding day, that means someone on the ground making sure everything runs the way it should. We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Assistant Operations Manager to work alongside our Operations Manager and be a driving force on event days. If you're organized, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented — this is the role for you. What You'll Do Be on-site for weddings and events at both properties, keeping the day running smoothly from setup through breakdown. We are just on the venue side and do not provide any type of coordination so you are primarily making sure the venue is in "Day One" condition for their wedding. Get the venues event-ready before the wedding party arrives and in between weddings Provide tours to couples interested in our venues At Wimberley, help run add-ons we offer including a livestream, champagne toast, and refreshment cart Troubleshoot basic issues on the spot when something goes wrong on a wedding day — a breaker, a sound hiccup, a leaky faucet, a door that won't latch Help with light property maintenance including mowing, maintaining grounds, and general tidiness Split time between Gruene (primary) and Wimberley as the event calendar requires What We're Looking For 1–3 years in events, hospitality, venue operations, or a similar hands-on operational role Comfortable working weekends and evenings — this is a weekend-heavy job. You would get at least one weekend off per month. Practical problem-solver who can handle basic troubleshooting (electrical, plumbing, AV, equipment) and knows when to call for help Organized, reliable, and takes ownership of getting things done without being asked twice Friendly, professional presence with couples, guests, and vendors Willing to do physical work: lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in Texas weather (past maintenance experience or long outdoor hours in the past is a plus) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between properties Bonus Points Wedding or event venue experience Basic maintenance, landscaping, or trades background Why You'll Love Working Here Stunning Hill Country setting — Your office is a scenic Texas wedding venue.
