Assistant Manager, Finance
About the role We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant Manager to lead all aspects of the statutory, regulatory, financial and management reporting, as well as the financial operations of our organisation, supporting the delivery of essential Caregiving services to our community. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, financial & management reporting, grant management, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. This role works closely with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to guide sound financial planning and support the organisation's long-term sustainability. Reporting to: Head Corporate Services Responsibilities: Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of accounting records to meet all internal and external reporting requirements Drive improvements in quality of financial and business analyses in order to guide all leaders in decision making and performance monitoring; and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to achieve financial and strategic business objectives Drive improvements in budgeting and forecasting process for cost control Drive improvements in business processes and internal controls to enhance the organisation’s process efficiencies and controls effectiveness, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures Proactively identify and mitigate operational and financial risks Fulfill external and internal audit requirements and determine proper remediating actions in response to audit findings and recommendations Manage the statutory and reporting requirements under Charities Accounting Standards Provide financial advice and perspective to assist the development and implementation of long-term business plans and strategies, and the subsequent assessment of the effectiveness and achievements against targets and objectives Requirements: A qualified CA or CPA with between 7 to 10 years of experience in the field of Finance University degree in Accounting and/or Business Management Experience in working in a medium to large charity will be a plus Excellent engagement and communication skills Highly organized with an excellent ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and tight deadlines with minimum supervision Knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, Charity Accounting Standards, and other relevant statutory regulations Experience in system and capability enhancement CaringSG is a registered charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC) in Singapore that supports special needs caregivers and their families.
