General Information Location Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur Working Schedule Full-Time Work Arrangement Hybrid Relocation Assistance Available No Posted Date 09-Sep-2026 Job ID 20536 Description and Requirements Reporting to the Regional Entities finance function based in Hong Kong, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable function, month end closing activities, and regulatory submissions for the Malaysia and/or Singapore regional entities. Additional responsibilities may include financial planning, budgeting and regional expense management. Principal Responsibilities: Month-end close activities, supporting schedules & reconciliations Fixed asset management & reporting Intercompany billings, collections & reporting Ownership of accounts payable process: Review all payment requests received for settlement of vendor invoices, travel reimbursements verification Treasury & cashflow monitoring & reporting Internal corporate compliance: balance sheet certifications, variance analysis, other reporting requirements External statutory compliance: audit, corporate tax, sales & service tax, withholding tax Drive/support the global finance projects and ad-hoc requests Coordinate financial planning and budgeting process, and partner with business stakeholders and functional teams to develop accurate forecasts Assist on regional expense management: Budget governance, variance analysis, forecast alignment. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant working experience CPA/CMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification Knowledge of IFRS Experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable module is preferred Proficiency in various office applications, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Ability to use approved AI tools to support routine tasks such as drafting, summarizing, organizing information, and improving day-to-day efficiency Working knowledge of AI capabilities with the ability to evaluate and validate outputs with guidance.
