The AGM owns the school's day-to-day sales and operations. You will lead an awesome staff of Code Coaches, meet incredible kids and parents, and see smiles coming in and going out the door. This is a growth role for someone who wants to move into a bigger leadership position. This position rocks because you will: - Lead an awesome staff of Code Coaches - Meet and relate with parents, many of whom are techies themselves working at some of the best companies in the area - Best of all, help your community's next generation learn the skills they need in an increasingly technical world Responsibilities The AGM runs the school day to day and owns the results without waiting to be told what comes first. Coding knowledge is not a requirement. This is a part-time position (30–40 hours per week) that requires onsite management during our hours of operation, including after-school hours and Saturdays, plus a daily 9:45am remote check of our customer help desk. The key areas of responsibility are: - Day-to-Day Operations – Scheduling, customer service, parent management, and customer retention. Every day, you check, prioritize, document, and resolve incoming parent and school requests in our help desk. - School Growth – Managing the lead pipeline, scheduling trials, and closing sales. You treat a warm lead like it expires; same-day follow-up is your standard. You follow up with every trial family through multiple calls, texts, and emails until they enroll or close out, and you keep every lead in our system current with no overdue follow-ups. You own our trial-to-enrollment conversion. - Staff Management – Lead a team of part-time Code Coaches day to day: build the schedule, cover call-outs, hold coaches accountable, check lesson quality, and give direct feedback. When problems come up, you bring them forward with a recommended solution. - At-School Programs – Running our programs at partner schools, including scheduling, coach assignments, materials, and school communication. - School Vibe – Meeting parents, high-fiving kids, and building a community within the school. Our schools are fun and energizing. Whether it's moving furniture, holding ping-pong tournaments, or decorating for the holidays, we look to the AGM to make the school as cool as can be. - Special Events and Outreach – Coordinating events such as Coder Fairs and community outreach, following them through, and attending in person when no coach is needed. - Communication – Clear handoffs by email so everyone can track the same items. - What Else? Everything else. If the bathroom needs cleaning or the lights need changing, get your gloves on! If it's part of the school's success, we look to our AGM to drive it and get it done (or get someone to get it done!). Experience Required - Sales. A proven record of closing sales and hitting a quota, such as membership sales, retail sales, or enrollment sales, is required. - Ownership of Results. Experience owning results, such as a sales quota, a location, a program, or a book of clients, is required. - Customer Service and Leadership. Customer-facing experience and 1+ year leading or supervising a team (shift lead, assistant manager, or similar) are required. - Experience with Families. Customer-facing experience with families is required, such as youth sports, camps, enrichment programs, or family-focused retail. - Technology. Expertise with email, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Mac/PC is required. Knowledge of CRM, scheduling, or ticketing software is a plus. Coding abilities are a plus but NOT required. Comfort using AI tools (like ChatGPT or Claude) to work faster is a big plus, and so is curiosity about explaining AI to parents. Skills Required - Self-Directed. You make judgment calls within our guidelines and report back. You don't wait to be told. - Reliable. You manage your own calendar and adjust your schedule to keep every commitment. - Numbers-Driven. You're comfortable tracking and reporting your own weekly numbers, including conversion, and explaining what you'll change when they're off. - Organization. The AGM must be extremely organized and diligent with parents, follow processes to a tee, and document everything so others can track the same items. - Detail-Oriented. The AGM must be able to prioritize by urgency and document with detail. - Great Communicator. There will be plenty of chatting with parents, and patience is a virtue with kids! You'll sometimes work through concerns with unhappy parents. You must be GREAT at small talk, big talk – all talk! - Leadership. A natural leader who can manage staff, parents, and students effectively, and who wants to grow. You bring your own ideas to grow enrollment, and you test them. - Coding Knowledge. This is not a technical position. You must be open to learning new concepts and able to pick up enough about technology to speak to it and sell it. This is a part-time position (30–40 hours per week) that reports to the owner. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience. Sound awesome? Apply with your resume and a few sentences about the best sale you've ever closed and how you closed it.
