Moving beyond traditional backward-looking corporate expense tracking, this role bridges frontline commercial demand with operational P&L execution. You will partner directly with senior operational and commercial leadership—including the Demand Planning Analytics (DPA) team, Brand Marketing, Regional Operations Managers (OMs), and Multi-Unit Managers (MUMs)—to maximize enterprise margin from top-line revenue down to store four-wall contribution. Key areas of leadership include granular SKU and channel contribution economics (Retail Counter, Aggregators, etc.), trade promotional margin impact, retail pricing governance, and retail Spoke P&L breakeven and performance management. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Commercial Business Partnering & Demand Governance Serve as the dedicated strategic copilot for the Business. Act as an objective challenger to budgets and forecast. Own and lead the weekly commercial pulse and monthly performance cadence with Regional Operations Managers (OMs), and Multi-Unit Managers (MUMs) diagnosing store-level variances and aligning on corrective action plans. Channel & SKU Margin Optimization Build, expand, and maintain end-to-end profitability models across channels: Retail Stores, Kiosks, Carts, and Digital Aggregators. Own Margin Simulations for Gross Profit (GP) impact across core menus, NPDs, and Limited-Time Offers (LTOs) in close coordination with Marketing and R&D. Run channel GP, product mix sensitivity, and trade spend simulations to optimize margin realization across diverse store formats. Pricing, Promotional ROI & Revenue Management Model financial impact scenarios for menu price adjustments, price increases, and temporary price rollbacks to protect margins while delivering customer value. Evaluate promotional mechanics, coupon redemptions, and trade marketing investments to calculate net return on investment (ROI). Work with Marketing to audit aggregator commission structures, merchant gateway fees, delivery app charges, and rider cost deductions to protect net channel take-rates. Retail Spoke P&L & Store Controllables Management Oversee the performance management of retail Spoke P&Ls down to Store Contribution Margin, EBIT, and EBITDA. Enforce operational cost discipline over store controllables: base/variable percentage rent, utilities (water/power), retail labor scheduling productivity, and direct operational store expenses. and rationalizations. Conduct ongoing financial health reviews of existing store doors to identify bottom-quartile performers and collaborate with Operations on operational turnaround strategies. Store Network Profitability & Breakeven Modeling Develop store-level four-wall financial feasibility models, sales sensitivity curves, and operational breakeven analyses for new store formats, relocations Team Leadership & Capability Building Act as the lead subject matter expert and functional owner of commercial analytics, pricing governance, and retail channel margin architecture across the brand. Transition the team from manual data-stitching and transactional report distribution into proactive, value-adding commercial copilots. Coach and guide non-finance stakeholders (Operations Managers, MUMs, Brand Marketing) on commercial financial logic, four-wall store profitability, and promotional ROI analysis. What We're Looking For Experience & Background: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Financial Management, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA is a distinct advantage. Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates from Multi-Unit Retail, Food & Beverage (F&B), Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) with multi-channel distribution footprints (direct retail, third-party delivery aggregators, wholesale drops). Technical Competencies: Commercial Modeling & Analytics: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, pricing elasticity, channel contribution margin structures, and product mix variance analysis. Retail Store Economics: Deep functional understanding of variable vs. fixed opex controllables, store-level breakeven analysis, and shared or admin office expense allocations. Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, etc), point-of-sale (POS) data warehouses, and advanced spreadsheet modeling (Power Query or advanced financial formulas). Leadership & Soft Skills: Executive Gravitas & Pushback Authority: Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and align senior commercial and operations heads (Operations Managers, Marketing Leads, DPA leads) using grounded commercial data rather than rigid accounting jargon.
