Assistant Accountant / Senior Accounting Officer
Our client is a fully licensed Precious Metals Dealer operating as the Asia Pacific headquarters for a premier Dubai gold trading house. Boasting a global gold ecosystem that spans proprietary mines in Africa and distribution network in Dubai, and an office in London, they deliver world-class wholesale buy and sell services to institutional clients, jewellers, and banks. To support their expanding operations in Hong Kong, they are looking for an experienced accounting professional to handle a full set of books independently and manage financial workflows. Key Responsibilities Handle full set of books independently for gold and precious metals wholesale trading operations. Prepare monthly financial reports, income and expense breakdowns, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) analysis. Generate cash flow summaries, manage banking issues, execute TT, handle letter of credit (LC), and oversee daily bank transactions. Reconcile physical gold inventory balances against bank records, cash movements, and transactional ledgers. Maintain financial records in compliance with Hong Kong Customs' Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing guidelines under the Class A Precious Metals Dealer license. Company secretarial matter support Requirement Higher Diploma in Accounting or Finance Good spoken Cantonese and English is a must At least 6 years accounting experience of which 2 years in the gold trading, jewelry or commodities industry. Knowledge of Hong Kong tax procedures Pay: $20,000.00 - $28,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
