Assets Manager
Responsibilities (but not limited to): Through the Asset Management Plan (AMP) development processes identify future investment requirements that address or mitigate identified performance or capacity shortfalls. In doing so, the remedial solutions will need to take the connectivity and capacity of the asset base into account delivering accurate robust plans for five years. Liaise with Operations to assist in the assessment and prioritization of O&M asset investment needs and contribute to annual investment plan, gather investment needs statements using agreed system and provide robust evidence on investment priorities. Carry out asset adoption risk reviews and investment analyses before formal hand over of any assets to from a third party. Carry out a full inventory/ condition and risk review prior to the adoption, transfer, and disposal of any assets. Provide asset performance/condition and trend analysis. Track performance (KPI/SLA) against the O&M plan as appropriate, identifying areas of non-compliance with proposed high-level solutions. Analyze and interpret how existing and future legislation/ demand / asset integration will have an impact on the performance and utilization of asset base. If appropriate identify investment needs. Undertake site visit for resolution of issues, data verification, and checks. Adhere to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures in the workplace and comply with any new work instructions. Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in the water/wastewater utility sector including minimum experience in asset planning environment. Knowledge and experience of asset lifecycle planning is preferred. In depth knowledge and experience of at least one of the following asset groups – Pumping Stations, Wastewater Networks, Surface water Networks, Treatment Works, Recycled Water Networks is preferred. Experience in planning processes and methodologies in both production and operational environment and the use of ERP planning tools and asset risk and financial analysis is preferred. Experience in Microsoft Office 365 is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering/relevant subject Chartered Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. IAM, CIWEM, ICE or equivalent) preferred Others: UPDA-registered / or to obtain this year (For engineering degree holder) Note: As per Qatar Law all engineer professionals must be registered to Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) by taking and passing the UPDA exam.
