# AS400 Developer **Kamlax Global Technologies SDN BHD** · Kuala Lumpur · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 2 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Hiring: Application Developer II (AS400 / RPG) Nationality: Malaysian citizens only Experience: 2–4 years Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field Job Responsibilities - Develop and maintain backend systems on the AS400 (IBM System i) platform using ASSET, with training provided on the application. - Analyse source code, troubleshoot system issues, perform debugging, and implement code fixes. - Conduct system testing, support user testing, and ensure the system is ready for deployment. - Prepare technical documentation, including code changes and deployment-related documents, using established templates. - Participate in Scrum activities, including progress updates, JIRA task management, and Scrum ceremonies on a rotational basis. Job Requirements - 2–4 years of hands-on development experience with AS400 (IBM System i), RPG/RPGLE, or CL. - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse source code, identify issues, and implement fixes. - Hands-on experience writing SQL queries to retrieve and investigate database records. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and JIRA is an advantage. - Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred. - Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java, HTML, or JavaScript, is an added advantage. - Must be a Malaysian citizen. Important: Candidates with COBOL-only experience and no RPG or CL experience will not be considered. Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
