This role is responsible for managing frontline associates and process assistants across one or more operational areas — including inbound, processing, sortation, or dispatch — ensuring fast delivery promises across multiple daily dispatch cycles. The Area Manager will directly own safety, quality, productivity, and associate engagement for their area, executing with speed and precision in a time-critical environment. Key job responsibilities People Leadership: Directly manage a team of 15-50+ associates; own daily scheduling, labor allocation, real-time headcount adjustments, coaching, performance feedback, and attendance management Productivity & Throughput: Drive area-level throughput targets (bags/minute, units/hour), manage real-time labor moves to balance flow, minimize idle time, and achieve TPH (throughput per hour) and pack station utilization goals Quality Execution: Monitor and reduce area-level defects including mis-sorts, mis-scans, and package handling errors; execute standard work audits and escalate systemic quality issues with root cause data Communication & Escalation: Provide real-time shift updates to Site Leader, escalate labor gaps, flow imbalances, and equipment issues promptly; participate in daily stand-ups and shift handoff reviews Metrics Ownership: Track and act on real-time area KPIs (throughput, labor utilization, defect rates, cycle readiness); contribute to daily performance narratives and weekly operational reviews - Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Speak, write, and read fluently in Portuguese - Experience in managing teams - Experience in a logistics/operations environment - Experience in people management
