JOB SUMMARY The job incumbent is primarily responsible in building and implementing software and web applications. The job incumbent designs, develops, and tests applications based on specifications. The Application Developer leads and manages the change requests by fixing and providing continuous improvement of existing applications. II. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Work closely with IT Supervisor and Business Analyst/s to design and develop new systems by choosing and configuring software and hardware resources. 2. Identify and design the details of the application to be developed such as user interface, system interface, network requirements, and databases. 3. Assist in the preparation of system requirement documents such as Functional Requirement, Database Specification and Design, and Test Cases. 4. Build the application by writing front-end and backend codes based on the requirements of the application to be developed while following the guidelines and checklists in application development. 5. Work closely with Application Administrator and End Users to conduct tests to ensure that the systems work as expected. 6. Work closely with Application Developer/s and Business Analyst/s in system integration and acceptance testing. 7. Initiate and perform the application deployment in production once all development and testing tasks are done and accepted ensuring that the application and all its integrated systems work as expected. 8. Develop and maintain customized reports within the ERP system. 9. Escalate issues to IT Supervisor and work together with Business Analyst to mitigate the issues on development. 10. Participate in the review and update of system deficiencies/issues identified by the users and draft the corresponding output report. 11. Responsible for troubleshooting and correcting detected errors and defects. 12. Evaluate the existing applications and perform updates and modifications. 13. Document and maintain Development Checklists document. 14. Perform other duties that may be assigned. III. MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS A. Education/License: 1. Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, BS Computer Science, or relevant field. B. Years and Type of Experience 1. One (1) to Two (2) years proven experience as Applications Developer or similar role. C. Related Skills/Knowledge: 1. Experience in designing, developing, and implementing web and software applications. 2. Knowledge in generating process documentation. 3. Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills. 4. Experience with Laravel and MySQL is a plus.
