We are not yet operational and are currently preparing for CQC registration. We are looking for an experienced ambulance or healthcare manager to join us at this early stage and play a key role in building the service from the ground up. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to work directly with the company directors and take a leading role in establishing a safe, professional and fully compliant service. The Role The successful candidate will take a leading role in the CQC registration process and, subject to meeting the requirements of the role and CQC approval, become the Registered Manager for the service. Responsibilities will include: Leading the preparation and submission of our CQC registration application. Working with the directors to ensure the service is appropriately prepared for CQC assessment. Developing and implementing policies, procedures and governance systems. Advising the directors on CQC, regulatory and operational requirements. Developing systems for safeguarding, incident reporting, complaints and quality assurance. Establishing clinical governance and risk-management arrangements. Advising on recruitment, training and staffing requirements. Helping establish operational procedures before the service launches. Maintaining oversight of compliance, quality and performance once the service becomes operational. Supporting the development of the company and preparation for future contracts. About You We are looking for someone with strong experience in an ambulance, patient transport, healthcare or similarly regulated environment. You should have: Previous management experience within an ambulance, patient transport or healthcare service. Strong knowledge of CQC registration and regulatory requirements. Experience with safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance. Strong leadership and organisational skills. The ability to work independently and advise company directors. Excellent communication skills. A professional, proactive and commercially aware approach. Particularly desirable: Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager. Ambulance Operations Manager experience. Experience with secure mental health or specialist patient transport. Experience helping establish or register a new CQC service. Paramedic, nurse or other relevant clinical background. What We Offer The opportunity to help build a new specialist ambulance service from the beginning.
