Preferred Location: Chicago, IL Duration: October 5, 2026 – October 4, 2027 Position Summary Seeking an experienced AI Security Policy & Standards Consultant to lead the development of enterprise AI security policies, standards, procedures, and control requirements supporting the secure adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies across the organization. The consultant will establish governance requirements, acceptable-use standards, security controls, and implementation guidance aligned with emerging AI regulations, industry frameworks, and organizational risk management objectives. What the Client Is Looking For Strong experience developing cybersecurity policies, standards, control frameworks, and technology governance requirements . Demonstrated expertise in AI governance, AI security, regulatory compliance, and risk management . Strong knowledge of NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) . Experience developing security requirements for Generative AI platforms, AI agents, LLMs, AI APIs, model development environments, and third-party AI providers . Experience developing enterprise security standards in regulated environments. Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Key Responsibilities AI Security Policy & Governance Develop enterprise AI security policies, standards, and supporting governance documentation . Conduct assessments of existing AI governance artifacts and identify gaps against leading industry frameworks. Define security and governance requirements for enterprise AI adoption. Develop security requirements for: Generative AI platforms AI agents Large Language Models (LLMs) AI APIs Model development environments Third-party AI providers AI Security Controls Establish AI security requirements and controls addressing: Prompt injection Data leakage prevention Model security Secure AI development AI model monitoring Incident response Create standards, control libraries, implementation guidance, and supporting documentation. Risk & Compliance Align AI security requirements with emerging AI regulations, industry frameworks, and organizational risk management objectives . Collaborate with Security, Risk Management, Privacy, Compliance, Legal, and Technology stakeholders. Provide subject matter expertise on AI governance, AI security risks, emerging threats, and responsible AI practices. Mandatory Requirements — Must Have 8+ years of experience developing cybersecurity policies, standards, control frameworks, or technology governance requirements. Demonstrated expertise in: AI Governance AI Security Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Strong knowledge of NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) . Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and AI-specific security controls. Experience developing enterprise security standards in regulated industries. Experience developing AI security requirements for AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or related technologies. Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with: NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) MITRE ATLAS OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications ISO 42001 Relevant certifications such as: CISSP CRISC CGRC CISM AIGP Experience with AI governance, AI risk management, AI threat modeling, or responsible AI. Experience working in regulated industries. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a senior cybersecurity governance and policy professional with specialized AI security expertise who can translate emerging AI risks, regulations, and security frameworks into practical enterprise policies, standards, and controls.
