Job Summary

The AI Consultant identifies business opportunities for AI, translates business requirements into practical technical solutions, and supports the design, development, integration, and implementation of AI-powered applications and automation solutions. The role combines business consulting, AI development, process automation, and solution architecture to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that meet client needs and achieve measurable business value. It also involves collaborating with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to assess processes, recommend suitable AI technologies, oversee implementation, and evaluate outcomes against business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis and AI Consulting
2. Analyze business requirements, operational processes, and client challenges to identify AI and automation opportunities.
3. Assess solution feasibility, costs, benefits, risks, and expected ROI, translating business needs into functional and technical requirements.
4. Develop business cases, proof-of-concept proposals, implementation roadmaps, and solution recommendations aligned with client objectives.
5. AI Solution Design and Development
6. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AI solution architectures aligned with business requirements and technical constraints.
7. Evaluate and select appropriate AI models, platforms, APIs, frameworks, and integration approaches.
8. Develop, configure, test, and integrate AI-powered applications, backend services, and software components with enterprise systems, databases, and cloud services, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability.
9. AI Automation and Process Optimization
10. Design and implement AI-enabled automation workflows to streamline business processes, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency.
11. Integrate AI models with business applications, APIs, databases, and external services, configuring business rules, workflow logic, approvals, exception handling, and escalation mechanisms.
12. Monitor automated processes, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows to improve processing time, accuracy, reliability, and service quality.
13. Solution Delivery, Performance, and Continuous Improvement
14. Coordinate with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and implementation to deployment and post-implementation support.
15. Validate solutions against agreed business, functional, technical, security, and performance requirements.
16. Define and monitor KPIs, evaluate business outcomes against expected benefits and ROI, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and solution expansion.
17. Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, user guidance, and knowledge-transfer materials, and support client presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops.

Shared Tasks

A. Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, AI/ML specialists, infrastructure teams, project managers, and business analysts to deliver integrated solutions.

B. Work with sales and business development teams to assess client requirements, contribute to technical proposals, and support presales activities.

C. Participate in project planning, effort estimation, risk assessment, progress reviews, and delivery meetings.

D. Coordinate with information security, infrastructure, and compliance stakeholders to ensure appropriate data protection and access controls.

E. Contribute to technical standards, reusable components, development practices, and internal AI solution libraries.

F. Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to colleagues on AI technologies, solution design, automation practices, and implementation lessons.

G. Support other related activities and assignments within the scope of the role, as directed by the line manager.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

o Professional certifications in relevant AI platforms, cloud technologies, software development, or solution architecture are desirable.

1. Experience

· Practical experience in software development, AI solution implementation, system integration, process automation, or related technical fields.

· Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, develop or integrate applications using APIs and databases, and evaluate, prototype, test, or deploy AI-powered solutions.

· Experience in business process analysis, solution design, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication, with exposure to client-facing projects, enterprise systems, cloud environments, and production deployments considered an advantage.

· Required 5 years of experience should align with the role’s seniority level and project complexity.

1. Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills

· Understanding of AI, machine learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI APIs.

· Proficiency in relevant programming languages, such as Python or JavaScript, with knowledge of REST APIs, databases, software integration, testing, version control, and deployment.

· Knowledge of AI application development, workflow automation, solution architecture, cloud services, scalability, and performance optimization.

· Understanding of data privacy, security controls, AI output validation, and responsible AI practices.

· Ability to assess technical feasibility, compare solution approaches, and estimate implementation effort and costs.

Business and Consulting Skills

· Business requirements gathering, process analysis, and identification of AI and automation opportunities.

· Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and business case development, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessment.

· Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

· Strong client communication, presentation, workshop facilitation, project coordination, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
