Agricultural Technical and Business Development Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all McLanahan safety procedures and policies.
• Represent McLanahan Corporation in a positive and professional manner internally and externally.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, dealers, partners, and end users.
• Serve as McLanahan’s global subject matter expert (SME) for Agriculture technologies.
• Provide technical oversight, review, and validate product designs, sizing calculations, and performance guarantees.
• Develop, maintain, and improve global agricultural design standards and specifications.
• Lead innovation initiatives focused on water usage and recovery, energy efficiency, fine sand recovery, and reliability.
• Support global sales and applications teams on complex and strategic projects.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, optimisation, and debottlenecking of systems worldwide.
• Lead root-cause analysis of performance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver technical training, mentoring, and knowledge transfer globally.
• Engage with customers, veterinarians, consultants, and dealers.
• Represent McLanahan at industry conferences and technical forums.
• Monitor global market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor developments.
• International travel required.
• Conduct dealer training and support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Qualifications/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural, Process, or Mechanical Engineering
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in Agricultural installations and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to verify design criteria and create ROI analysis to compare different technologies
• Strong understanding of dairy operations in varied bedding types

Physical Requirements:

This position is typically based in an office environment but requires regular travel to manufacturing facilities and mine sites. Requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods, travel domestically and internationally, and safely access industrial and mining environments. Requires effective oral and written communication.
