CLCH is offering an exciting 6-month developmental opportunity , starting at Band 7 with a structured and supported pathway towards progression to Band 8a . During the development period, you will be supported to build and demonstrate the advanced clinical, leadership, education and service development competencies required for the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner role. Progression to Band 8a is subject to successful completion of the development programme and achievement of agreed competencies. Working within our integrated community MSK service, you will develop your advanced practice while delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to clinical leadership and service improvement. You will work alongside experienced Advanced Practitioners and a Consultant Physiotherapist , developing your expertise in complex MSK presentations, advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making. You will also develop across the four pillars of advanced practice , with opportunities to contribute to leadership, education, research and service development. This post will focus on the delivery and development of MSK services, providing high-level clinical expertise, mentorship, and service innovation. As part of this developmental role, you will: Deliver a high standard of advanced clinical care for adult patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions Provide expert clinical opinion and advice to managers, supporting the strategic development of the physiotherapy service across the organisation Take a lead role in the organisation, development, and evaluation of the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner service Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate management of patients seen within Physiotherapy Practitioner clinics Provide clinical leadership within the MSK physiotherapy service, supporting quality improvement, service redesign, and innovation Contribute to mentorship, supervision, and development of physiotherapy staff within the service Apply the principles of clinical governance to support safe practice, service quality, and continuous improvement Applicants should have significant experience within an NHS outpatient musculoskeletal setting and experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent. You should be able to demonstrate strong MSK clinical skills, experience managing complex presentations and a commitment to developing towards advanced practice.
