Job Summary The Admissions Manager is responsible for the effective management of NIST’s admissions function and the prospective family journey from initial enquiry through enrolment. The role leads the Admissions team, ensures high-quality and consistent admissions processes and family experiences, and works closely with the Director of Engagement and school leadership to support the school’s enrolment objectives. Responsibilities Admissions Strategy & Enrolment Management Work closely with the Director of Engagement to implement NIST’s admissions strategy and support enrolment planning across all year levels. Monitor admissions activity, available places, wait pools and applicant pipelines, providing relevant data, trends and insights to support planning and decision-making. Ensure admissions processes are implemented consistently in accordance with NIST’s Admissions Policy, enrolment capacity and established procedures. Work with the Director of Engagement and school leadership on complex admissions cases and matters requiring escalation. Admissions Operations & Applicant Management Oversee the admissions process from initial enquiry through enrolment, ensuring prospective families receive timely, accurate and professional support. Oversee the allocation and progression of applications across the Admissions team and ensure appropriate follow-up throughout the process. Coordinate with school leadership and relevant educational teams throughout application review and assessment, ensuring decisions are supported by complete and accurate information. Coordinate feeder-school visits and represent NIST at relevant school fairs and admissions-related external engagements. Team Leadership & Management Lead and manage the day-to-day work of the Admissions team, ensuring effective allocation of responsibilities and consistently high standards. Provide guidance, training, development and ongoing support to Admissions team members. Monitor team performance, workflows and service standards, addressing operational issues as they arise. Together with the Director of Engagement, support performance management and evaluation, while fostering a collaborative, professional and service-oriented team culture. Prospective & New Family Experience Ensure prospective families receive a consistently professional, welcoming and responsive experience throughout their admissions journey. Oversee campus tours and visits and manage complex or sensitive family enquiries as required. Oversee communications, orientation and onboarding for newly enrolled families, working with relevant departments to ensure a smooth transition into NIST. Ensure practical arrangements and the sharing of relevant information are completed for new students, including mid-year entrants. Admissions Systems, Data & Reporting Maintain oversight of admissions systems and applicant records, ensuring information is accurate, complete and consistently maintained. Produce admissions and enrolment reporting to support forecasting, decision-making and continuous improvement. Ensure applicant and family information is handled appropriately and confidentially in accordance with NIST policies, Thailand’s PDPA and other applicable data-protection requirements. School Knowledge, Collaboration & Representation Maintain a strong and current understanding of NIST’s programmes, student experience, policies and school developments to ensure accurate representation of the school. Build effective working relationships across the school and Engagement team to support admissions, onboarding and family communications. Ensure admissions information and materials remain accurate and current, and represent NIST professionally with prospective families, feeder schools, relocation partners and the wider community. Additional Responsibilities Be familiar with NIST child safeguarding policy Be aware of abuse risks to children Abide by the Code of Conduct Be vigilant Prevent abuse/protect children Report concerns (mandatory duty) Challenge poor practice/promote good practice Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Minimum two years’ experience as an Admissions/Enrolment Manager or equivalent leadership position, with direct responsibility for leading an admissions function and managing staff. Experience in a complex, diverse international school environment is strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills. Strong judgement, discretion and ability to manage complex and sensitive situations. Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical and digital capabilities, including experience with admissions/CRM systems and enrolment data. Confidence in using AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively to support productivity, analysis and communication, with appropriate attention to accuracy, confidentiality and data protection. Strong commitment to service and the prospective family experience, with flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.
