The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting the end-to-end solution and ensuring the actuarial model can orchestrate with other systems easily. This role is at Assistant Manager level or above, with Prophet modelling experience. Background & Purpose The Future Finance Programme Plus (FFP+) has been established to deliver the following core aims: Deliver a modernised future-proof Finance function capable of supporting the ongoing strategic requirements of the organisation. Reengineer Finance and Actuarial reporting processes, along with the VCC shared service strategy, to deliver synergies and cost savings across the organisation while releasing the inherent capacity of the workforce to concentrate on value-add activities. Deliver a one-button approach to financial reporting of all core metrics, delivering hard close results for all external reporting metrics within 2 weeks from reporting dates. Deliver standardised technology across the Business Units, centrally supported, and run where appropriate fully integrated into the core Finance technology stack. Deliver a sustainable and streamlined resourcing model, across central teams and business units, with appropriate locations, skill mixes and career progressions. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Role Purpose Implement changes, test and maintain the standardized model. Support data preparation work related to the standardized model. Train and provide guidance to junior modelling analysts to do coding work. Key Accountabilities Support common actuarial model implementations, including expanding the common framework where necessary, implementing and testing the CAM to replace existing models, either Prophet-to-Prophet or Prophet-to-alternative. Build products and new functionalities into CAM and carry out tests (e.g. unit-test and bulk test), as well as supporting stepwise impact analysis during the implementation phase. Deliver high-quality coding and model merging work, ensuring all checks and controls are passed before sending back to the central VCC modelling team. Communicate with the VCC modelling lead, or directly with the LBU, on impacts and model errors if found. Document the model and build model validation tools for the LBU to prepare audit work. Maintain proper versioning of model changes for the assigned LBU. Back-test results once an updated version of CAM is received from the central VCC modelling team, before releasing to the assigned LBU. Job Specification Technical Skills Good understanding and ability to communicate about selected Life products and cashflow modelling for valuation in general. Preferred Skills Previous experience in a modelling team, modelling Centre of Excellence (CoE), or reporting team with modelling responsibilities. Experience in Prophet. Python knowledge. Experience Required 4-6 years of relevant experience. Education Bachelor’s degree in actuarial studies, computer science or mathematics.
