Job Description: Accounts Manager – Accounts & Finance Department

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to manage accounting operations, supervise the Accounts Team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong financial controls.

The ideal candidate must have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with Odoo ERP , and a background in trading or distribution businesses. The candidate should be capable of managing the complete accounting cycle, resolving discrepancies, monitoring team performance, and ensuring timely financial closing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, bank, and cash transactions.
• Review accounting entries, purchase bills, sales invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing and prepare accurate financial reports, including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet.
• Ensure accurate accounting records and timely reconciliation of customer, supplier, bank, and General Ledger accounts.
• Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), ensuring reconciliation between Odoo inventory and financial records.
• Ensure proper integration between Odoo Accounting, Sales, Purchase, and Inventory modules.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, incorrect postings, stock differences, and system-related issues.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, payables, cash flow, and pending accounting transactions.
• Supervise the Accounts Team, allocate responsibilities, monitor daily tasks, review completed work, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, applicable accounting standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Logistics, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve financial and operational discrepancies.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants and maintain proper financial documentation.
• Improve accounting procedures, internal controls, reporting accuracy, and Odoo ERP workflows.

Odoo ERP Skills Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting.
• Good understanding of Odoo integration with Sales, Purchase, and Inventory.
• Ability to investigate accounting discrepancies, inventory valuation differences, and COGS errors.
• Experience with Odoo financial reports, bank reconciliation, journals, taxes, and accounting configurations.
• Experience with Odoo implementation, migration, or system improvements is an advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or Accounts Manager role is preferred.
• Strong practical experience with Odoo Accounting is essential.
• Experience in trading, distribution, wholesale, or import/export businesses is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and audit requirements.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.

Key Performance Expectations

• Accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end closing.
• Proper reconciliation of bank, customer, supplier, inventory, and GL balances.
• Reduction of accounting errors and unresolved discrepancies.
• Effective control over inventory accounting and COGS.
• Timely completion and verification of the Accounts Team's work.
• Compliance with statutory requirements and internal financial controls.
• Effective use of Odoo ERP and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on Accounts Manager who understands the complete accounting cycle and the relationship between sales, purchases, inventory, and financial reporting. The candidate must demonstrate leadership, accountability, accuracy, and the ability to independently identify and resolve accounting issues while ensuring the Accounts Team performs efficiently.

Pay: From AED8,000.00 per month
