Accounts Manager Assistant – Opportunity to Advance to Accounts Manager We are a busy exterior maintenance company looking for a self-motivated, organized, reliable, and energetic Accounts Manager Assistant to join our team. The goal of this position is to train the right candidate to eventually step into the Accounts Manager role. You will work directly alongside our current Accounts Manager, learning the day-to-day responsibilities of managing customer accounts, scheduling jobs, coordinating with field crews, communicating with customers and vendors, and helping keep daily operations running smoothly. As you become trained and comfortable with the position, you will gradually take on more responsibility with the expectation of becoming the Accounts Manager. A large portion of this role involves communication with customers and vendors through email throughout the day, so strong written communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage a busy inbox are very important. Our office is fast-paced and no two days are exactly the same. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, enjoys staying busy, can multitask, and is comfortable making decisions and solving problems as they arise. Reliability and consistent attendance are extremely important. This position is directly involved in daily scheduling and customer communication, and both our customers and field crews rely on the Accounts Manager team to be available and keep things moving each day. Responsibilities Train directly alongside the Accounts Manager to learn all aspects of the position Assist with and eventually manage daily scheduling and coordination of jobs Communicate with customers throughout the day, primarily through email and phone Respond to scheduling requests, customer questions, job updates, and follow-ups Coordinate communication between customers, office staff, and field crews Communicate with vendors and property management teams Assist with customer accounts, proposals, scheduling, and follow-ups Monitor and manage a high volume of daily email correspondence Maintain accurate and organized customer and project information Handle changing schedules and priorities throughout the day Take initiative in following up on open items and completing tasks without needing constant direction Gradually take on the full responsibilities of the Accounts Manager as training progresses Qualifications Self-motivated and able to take initiative Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance Strong Microsoft Office and general computer skills Excellent written communication and email skills Professional and confident communicating with customers by email and phone Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable managing multiple customers, schedules, emails, and priorities at once Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Able to problem-solve and adapt when schedules or priorities change Comfortable working independently and making decisions Eager to learn and take on increasing levels of responsibility Opportunity for Growth This is not intended to remain an assistant position long-term. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the role from the ground up and, once fully trained and ready, transition into the Accounts Manager position. The ideal candidate is someone looking for a long-term opportunity where they can learn the business, become confident managing accounts independently, build relationships with our customers, and ultimately take ownership of the Accounts Manager role.
