Responsibilities Prepare, review, and file tax returns for individuals, corporations, and non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws Conduct detailed financial analysis and interpret financial statements using GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards Manage corporate accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and balance sheet reconciliation Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules; ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls Support tax planning strategies such as estate planning, mergers & acquisitions, and investment analysis to optimize client outcomes Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools for bookkeeping, financial report writing, and regulatory reporting Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clients and internal teams while maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance accounting Requirements Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong understanding of tax law and tax reporting procedures Demonstrated expertise in individual tax preparation, corporate tax compliance, and regulatory compliance accounting Familiarity with auditing procedures, securities law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and non-profit accounting practices Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with financial software is essential Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately; attention to detail is critical for account reconciliation and financial statement preparation Knowledge of GAAP standards along with technical accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping and asset management Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not mandatory Experience working in public accounting or private equity environments is a plus Join us if you're passionate about delivering precise financial solutions while fostering growth through innovative tax strategies!
