Work Location: TS Cruz, Almanza Dos, Las Piñas (Near Madrigal Business Park) JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Specialist will manage critical accounting activities for supported business entity. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, completing reconciliations, supporting period-end closing, and ensuring that transactions comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires someone who can work with minimal supervision, identify financial discrepancies, coordinate with stakeholders, and recommend improvements to existing accounting processes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Transaction and Payment Management Review and record vendor invoices, operating expenses, and other financial transactions. Manage weekly payment processing and verify that payment requests are properly approved and documented. Monitor outstanding payables and coordinate with stakeholders regarding pending or incomplete requirements. Maintain accurate vendor ledgers and payment schedules across multiple entities. Reconciliation and Month-End Closing Perform bank, cash, payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliations. Investigate discrepancies and coordinate the necessary adjusting entries. Prepare month-end journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and expense allocations. Maintain financial schedules supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Ensure transactions are properly classified and recorded in Xero or other assigned accounting platforms. Reporting and Audit Support Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, cash reports, and supporting financial schedules. Review accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls. Compile documents and schedules required for internal and external audits. Discuss audit observations with managers and assist in implementing corrective actions. Identify recurring accounting issues and recommend process improvements. Payroll and Regulatory Compliance Support bi-monthly and monthly payroll disbursements for assigned ventures. Assist in validating payroll totals, deductions, and payment instructions. Coordinate the preparation of documents for BIR and EFPS filings. Monitor government-related financial deadlines and compliance requirements. Ensure that financial records and supporting documents are properly maintained for regulatory review. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy , Finance , or any related field. At least 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a shared services setup. Strong analytical skills and experience managing financial operations for multiple entities. Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero) and government compliance processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information. Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time management skills. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors. Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced, start-up work environment . Willingness to take initiative and contribute to the growth of the organization.
