Accounting Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our accounting processes. In this pivotal role, you will manage accounts receivables, accounts payable, monthly vouchering for grants, bank reconciliations, and general ledger account analysis. The account manager will also support the Chief Financial Officer prepare monthly financial statements, cost allocations, annual budget, agency audit, and other grant audits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, recommend, and implement internal financial controls and policies to safeguard LCC's assets. Maintain accounting databases to ensure systems and controls are efficient and accurate according to the accepted accounting principles and internal control policies. Supervise senior and junior account. Supervise the accounts payable/accounts receivable onsite team. Work closely with both teams to foster and maintain a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders. Process orders for supplies, including maintenance supplies, furniture for LCC buildings and client request submitted by case managers. Ensure that monthly vouchers are prepared, submitted and reconciled on a timely basis. Also responsible for the reconciliation of A/P and A/R balance sheet account activity. Prepare semi-month payroll worksheet. Reconcile with submitted timesheets. Collaborate with program staff managers to ensure that all expenditures comply with the Agency budget and grant agreements. Reconcile monthly bank statements and investigate any discrepancies. Assist CFO with the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and annual audit. Prepare quarterly reports for group homes. Manage Agency's credit card. Ensure the accurate and timely processing of ACH and positive pay transactions. Support audit activities including preparation of annual audit, work papers, and schedules. Oversee 1099 reporting and filing. Analyze financial statements against LCC's budget to monitor financial performance and budget variances. Prepare and review monthly account analyses, including validation of accounts receivables. Report significant budget variances to the CFO and collaborate on explanations and corrective strategies. Assist CFO in preparing budgets for grant proposals, contracts and other new initiatives. Assures compliance with all grant reporting requirements Input organization's annual budget into appropriate software. Education and Licensing Requirements Bachelors degree in accounting, 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in nonprofit; supervisory experience required; advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Quickbooks.
