We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager / Accounting Controller / Accounting Lead to oversee our accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain regulatory compliance, and strengthen internal controls. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Head, Management, and other departments to support the company's continued growth. Job Summary The Accounting Manager / Accounting Controller / Accounting Lead will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, financial closing, tax compliance, audit coordination, and accounting process improvement. The role will also support manufacturing-related accounting activities, including inventory management, production costing, and fixed asset accounting, while supervising accounting personnel and ensuring that financial records are accurate, complete, and properly documented. Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger management, journal entries, and financial reconciliations. - Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and supervise the preparation of financial statements and management reports. - Manage accounts payable and receivable, supplier payments, customer billing, collections, and aging reports. - Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of applicable Philippine tax and statutory requirements, including BIR compliance. - Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, accountants, and relevant government agencies. - Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and proper financial documentation. - Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, production expenses, cost variances, and fixed asset records. - Improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency. - Provide regular updates to the Finance Head and Management regarding financial reporting, compliance, closing schedules, and significant accounting issues. - Supervise and develop accounting personnel, establish clear responsibilities, and review work for accuracy and compliance. - Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Production, Operations, and HR/Admin to resolve accounting and financial concerns. Qualifications and Requirements Candidates should meet the education and experience requirements under either of the following tracks: CPA Candidates - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing. - At least five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior, supervisory, or managerial role. Non-CPA Candidates - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - At least ten (10) years of relevant accounting experience, including significant senior, supervisory, or managerial experience. - Demonstrated ability to independently oversee accounting operations. Additional Qualifications - Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, taxation, and BIR compliance requirements. - Solid experience in general ledger management, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial closing. - Knowledge of internal controls, audit coordination, and accounting process improvement. - Experience supervising accounting personnel and coordinating with external auditors or tax advisers. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems. - High integrity, attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong organizational and communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting, including inventory accounting and production costing. - Background in technology, manufacturing, engineering, or product-based companies. - Experience with PEZA-registered or export-oriented companies. - Experience improving accounting workflows or implementing accounting and ERP systems.
