Accounting Associate
CPA – Remote Part-Time Pay: $15.00–$18.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time Work Location: Remote We’re a growing accounting firm looking to add a CPA to our team. We’re looking for someone who has solid experience with U.S. accounting and tax , is comfortable working in QuickBooks Online and Desktop , and understands more than just basic bookkeeping. What we’re looking for: CPA required 5+ years of QuickBooks experience Experience with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop Familiarity with U.S. accounting and U.S. tax code Good understanding of GAAP Able to read and understand financial statements Comfortable creating journal entries Experience with full-cycle accounting/bookkeeping Accounts receivable experience alone is not enough for this position Comfortable handling paperwork and correspondence from state and federal agencies Strong attention to detail Good analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication skills and comfortable speaking up when something doesn’t look right or needs more investigation Able to provide weekly/monthly updates and help with special projects Able to work during U.S. Eastern Time hours We’re not looking for someone who only does data entry or one small part of the accounting process. We need someone who can look at the bigger picture, understand a balance sheet and financial statements, and understand how their work affects the client’s books. QuickBooks experience is very important to us. Experience with other accounting software is helpful, but we really need someone who has strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks. We value good communication and are happy to train the right person on our processes. At the same time, you should already have a strong foundation in U.S. accounting and be able to work independently. This is a long-term position . The right person will have opportunities to take on more responsibility and earn raises and bonuses as they grow with us.
