Responsibilities *Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns *Remit tax payments *Comply with federal, state, and local tax requirements *Maintain knowledge of tax requirements *Prepare quarterly payroll returns *Reconcile tax discrepancies *Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping client’s tax and personal information confidential. *Handle client billing and invoicing *Process finalized tax returns for client delivery *Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Skills and Requirements * Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or Tax Preparer * A/R & A/P experience would be beneficial *Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures *Familiarity with accounting software packages (Accounting CS, QuickBooks, and Ultra Tax) *Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular) *Excellent analytical and time management skills *Strong numeracy skills *Keen attention to detail *Understands legal compliance of firm *Actively practices due diligence and is objective when necessary Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Paid sick time Paid time off Profit sharing Retirement plan Application Question(s): Are you able to work in Barrington, IL?
