Accountant (Real Estate)
Key Responsibilities Accounting Oversight & Review - Review entries recorded in the General Ledger to ensure accuracy and proper classification - Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes - Review financial statements and supporting schedules prior to submission to management - Ensure timely and accurate preparation of: - Bank reconciliations - Accounts receivable aging - Fixed asset schedules Tax Compliance (Review Function) - Review tax computations and filings prepared by accounting staff, including VAT, EWT, FWT, DST, and Income Tax - Ensure completeness and accuracy of BIR reports and supporting documents - Maintain audit-ready books and records - Coordinate with external accountants, consultants, and auditors when needed Process Improvement & Internal Controls - Identify and recommend practical improvements in accounting procedures - Ensure basic internal controls are in place and consistently followed - Monitor compliance with company policies and accounting standards Support for Audit & External Requirements - Assist in the preparation of documents for external audits or BIR reviews - Help address audit queries and ensure proper documentation Team Support & Supervision - Provide guidance and support to accounting staff - Review work outputs and ensure quality standards are met - Promote organized workflows and timely completion of tasks Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or related field - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - 5–8 years of accounting experience - Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance - Prior experience supervising staff is an advantage Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting tools - Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar), Xero preferably - Familiarity with BIR requirements and Philippine tax compliance - Working knowledge of PFRS Key Traits - Detail-oriented and highly organized - Reliable and consistent in reviewing financial data - Practical and solutions-oriented - Able to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong sense of accountability and professionalism Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: From Php60,000.00 per month Benefits: Pay raise Work Location: Hybrid remote in Angeles
