Accountant – Fund Accounting & Asset Management Location: Doha, Qatar Employment Type: Full-time Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support accurate fund accounting, financial reporting, financial controls, and compliance activities for asset management funds, companies, SPCs, and discretionary mandates . The ideal candidate should have strong accounting and reporting knowledge, relevant experience in fund accounting or portfolio management environments , and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, auditors, fund managers, administrators, custodians, and other service providers. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate accounting records, general ledgers, and fund-level charts of accounts. Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, trial balances, and supporting schedules. Manage fund expense accruals, fee calculations, subscriptions, redemptions, income recognition, and related cash-flow accounting. Support accounting system ownership, data quality, finance operations, and process controls. Coordinate with auditors, internal teams, fund managers, administrators, custodians, and other service providers. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Support effective financial controls and ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting data. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong professional standards and control discipline. Support financial analysis, reporting, and other accounting-related activities as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management , or a related field. Minimum 10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience . Experience in fund accounting or portfolio management platforms/environments is required. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or MBA Finance is preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards. Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting systems, reporting, and analysis. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity. Fluency in English is required.
